Lord Hanuman is the only deity that cannot be troubled by negative energies. Hanuman Jayanti is an important festival of Hindus.

Hanuman is the symbol of strength and energy. Hanuman is said to be able to assume any form at will, wield rocks, move mountains, dart through the air, seize the clouds and rival Garuda in swiftness of flight. He is worshipped in folk tradition as a deity with magical powers and the ability to conquer evil spirits. Also known as an avatara of Lord Rama, he is considered the God of power (Maruti).

Hanuman ji as reincarnation of Lord Shiva.

Lord Hanuman is in himself a reflection or reincarnation of Lord Shiva. Another folklore suggests that Lord Hanuman was born to Anjana when she ate payasam or pudding that was delivered to her by the deity Vayu (Wind God).

The story behind this legend is that across the other side of the town in the Kingdom of Ayodhya, King Dasharatha was performing the ritual of Putrakama yagna in order to have children, at the same time as Anjana praying to Rudra for Hanuman. King Dashratha was asked to serve some sacred pudding to his three wives, leading to the births of Rama, Lakshmana, Bharata, and Shatrughna. By divine ordinance, a kite came right in time to snatch fragments of the pudding, flying across the town and dropping them in the hands of Anjana who was in the state of worship at that moment. Anjana happily consumed it, resulting in the birth of Hanuman shortly after.

WHY HANUMAN JI APPLY SINDHUR

According to the legend, once Lord Hanuman saw Goddess Sita JI applying sindoor on her forehead. On seeing this, Lord Hanuman enquired from her the reason for applying Sindoor. Goddess Sita replied that this would ensure a long life for her husband. Hanuman then smear ed his entire body with sindoor, in an effort to ensure Rama’s immortality.

So on this day, devotees visit temples and apply tilak of sindoor to their foreheads from the Hanumans body as this is considered to be good luck.

Laal deha laaleel-se, arudhari-laal languor vajra deha daanava dalan, jai jai jai kapi-soor

We pray to the red-colored one, whose entire body is red, and who is decorated with red colored sindoor. We pray to the one draped with a red colored loin-cloth. We pray to the one whose body is firm and strong like the vajra (Lord Indra’s weapon). We pray to the destroyer of demons. We bow in praise again and again to the supreme among Gods, Lord Hanuman

WHY TUESDAY SPECIAL DAY FOR HANUMANJI

Hanuman visited mother Sita on a Tuesday which is also called as Mangalvar (the auspicious day of the week). Therefore, mother Sita blessed him stating that those who worshipped Hanuman on Tuesdays will receive her blessings too as a bonus. Mother Sita is verily the goddess of Lakshmi incarnated on this earth and therefore chanting Hanuman mantra on Tuesdays will secure the blessings of goddess Lakshmi too.

Hanuman flew over the ocean and reached Lanka where it was suspected that Ravan, the demon king had imprisoned mother Sita. After a long search, Hanuman found mother Sita in the Asokavan, a well maintained garden in the palace of Ravan. Hanuman appeared before mother Sita and showed the ring sent by Sri Rama as a matter of proof to attest his identity as the messenger of Sri Rama. Mother sita was wailing in agony having been separated from her dear Lord. The sight of Hanuman brought back her hopes and she blessed Hanuman with several boons.

TOP LEARNING FROM Hanuman ji

1 – What is in your Heart?

For a peaceful mind, it is very important to know what is in your heart? Lord Hanuman placed the image of Lord Rama inside his heart which proves his reverence for Shri Rama. His reverence towards Lord Rama is incomparable to any other devotee of Lord Rama. This gives Focus and peace of mind to Lord Hanuman

2 – Reliable – Trustworthy – Responsible

There are many incidents when Lord Hanuman proved his reliability. Here are my two most loved incidents.

Lord Hanuman helped his friend Sugreev

When Sugreev was boycotted by his brother Bali. Bali forced Sugreev to run away from his kingdom. That time Lord Hanuman was the only one whom Sugreev could trust.

As a friend of Sugreev Lord Hanuman arranged the meeting to Lord Rama and Sugreev which ultimately lead him to get his kingdom back from Bali.

2- Lord Hanuman saved Laxman life

As mentioned above, In war zone when Laxman was hit by Meghnath and precious herb was required within 12 hours to save the life of Laxman. Lord Hanuman took the responsibility of bringing the precious herb from the Himalayas within the time limit.

After reaching the Himalayas; he got confused with the specification of the herb so what he did was truly amazing. He lifted the whole mountain of Dronagiri in his palm and reached to the war zone which ultimately saved the life of Laxman.

These two incidents prove that Lord Hanuman is Reliable – Trustworthy and Responsible for his actions

3 – Devotion gives you strength

Lord Hanuman is one of the greatest devotees of Lord Rama. As I have mentioned earlier he loves to chant and recite the Ram naam . There is another dimension of his devotion in which he get’s the strength to do wonders after chanting name of Lord Rama.

4 – Meditation helps you to keep calm

Lord Hanuman has the highest level of intellectual mindset which helps him to keep calm in tough conditions. Whenever he get’s the free time; He loves to meditate the name of Lord Rama. This whole yogic process opens the inactive neurons cells of Lord Hanuman and makes him intelligent and wise.

5 – Do good karma

Lord Hanuman is worshipped all around the globe not because he was Rudra avatar of Lord Shiva. Lord Hanuman is worshipped because of his great task which he did for Lord Rama.

Your karma speaks on your behalf which means your karma defines you. Many people ask what is karma? How the law of karma works? So it is important to answer the question. Karma is your daily deeds. Whatever you do today will come back to you as a return gift. So always do good karma.

CONCLUSION
