Posted on

Today is 125th birth day of Subhas Chandra Bose (also called Netaji)  who  played  role in India’s independence movement. तुम मुझे खून दो, मैं तुम्हें आज़ादी दूंगा : नेताजी सुभाष चंद्र बोस You give me blood, I’ll give you Freedom” is still a popular booster for the troops today.

Also today is my close to heart grand daughter JIvika 3rd birth day . I thought to share our love and affection to Jivika with our family friends.

Subhas Chandra Bose

Why we still remember him after more than 75 years when he left us !! . I will also share very unique collection of Nataji memory that I personally received from my Japanese friend Fumi .

Brief Background

Popularly known as Netaji, he is India’s one of the greatest freedom fighters. Born on January 23, 1897 in Cuttack to Janaki Nath Bose, a popular lawyer and Prabhavati Devi, he was the ninth child among the fourteen.

Bose was a bright student and also the topper in matriculation examination from Calcutta. Since childhood he was influenced by the teachings of Swami Vivekananda and was popular for his patriotic enthusiasm. To pursue his career in Indian Civil Services, he went to England and appeared for competitive examination and stood fourth in it. Saddened by the Jalianwalla Bagh massacre in Punjab, Netaji returned to India.

In India, Netaji was influenced by the teachings of Mahatma Gandhi and he soon joined Indian National Congress. In 1930, he was sent to jail during the civil disobedience movement and was released in 1931. Later, he was expelled from India to Europe but taking the advantage of the situation he worked to strengthen the ties between the two countries. Challenging the ban in the home country he returned, but was again sent to jail. In 1943, he established Azad Hind Fauj. Unfortunately, on August 18, 1945, he was killed in a plane crash in Taiwan. Since my childhood, I listen his death is still unknown how and what

Quotes by Subhash Chandra Bose are as inspiring as his life-story

  2. One individual may die for an idea, but that idea will, after his death, incarnate itself in a thousand lives.
  3. Remember that the greatest crime is to compromise with injustice and wrong. Remember the eternal law: you must give if you want to get.
  4. Freedom is not given, it is taken.
  5. No real change in history has ever been achieved by discussions.
  6. The secret of political bargaining is to look stronger than what you really are.
  7. For enslaved people, there can be no greater pride, no higher honors, than to be the first soldiers in the army of liberation.

Sharing unique & rare writing and picture of Netaji

I went to work to OSAKA Japan in 2011 and come across in hotel I was staying with Fumi . She has great knowledge of Hanuman ji and Yoga . We spent time together and became good friend till today .Fumi become friend with 98 years old Japanese man Kunizuka who fight for freedom of India with Netaji . Here is the personal letter he received from Nataji

Conclusion on Netaji

Netaji’s more radical measures against the British got him behind bars on several occasions, and of course, the legendary tale of his escape from house-arrest under the guise of a Pathan is known by every history enthusiast and patriot. Escapades aside, Netaji was a true leader in his own right, and on his 125th birthday, we pay a long-due tribute to the forgotten hero. Lets continue to learn from Netaji experience to bring good moral values in life so we can contribute to the sacrifices he did for our country .

JIVIKA

Background

Initially I thought about writing about Jivika’s real life experience on how we came to know her as she became integral part of our family as my loving grand daughter. .

We all have our own experiences when we meet few friends and develop close association . But case with Jivika is much different . I used to work for customer assignment in Columbus OH and came across Mr. Jay as one of colleague. Surely it was general association nothing like close personal . As most of you know we celebrate yearly Ganesh pooja past 25 years .During 2017 Ganesh festival along with other friends ,I also invited Jay and his wife Kavita from Columbus OH and they joined us for Ganesh festival .After this visit relations still remain as casual..

Jivika’s Birth

During Ganesh visit in 2017 we were not aware that Kavita was expecting .January 23, 2018 Jay and Kavita blessed with daughter Jivika !! I was not aware and came to know from one of the colleague. I got connected with Jay. This is really for first time we started family conversation .Surely it’s seems there some eternal relationship with Jivika is the reason Jay and Kavita visited us for Ganesh celebrations.

Anita extended all help like she could have done for our own granddaughter .In between Kavita’s parents visiting visa also got denied hence they couldn’t come to help Jay and Kavita.

Jivika joins our family

We have developed such strong bonding that Jivika now understand Anita as BAA ( grand mother ) and me as Anji Dadda (she didn’t able to pronounce my name as Anil !!) She also started saying Shilpa and Gajanan as gradparents .Since then everyday we do face time and talk with her and visit regularly in all family occasion . Jivika has became so close to Kamna my daughter and called her Mousi (aunt ) and my son Vinayak as MAMA ( uncle ) , Abby as MAMI ( aunt) , Suma& Shivani as mousi (aunt ) During Vinayak’s and Abby marriage Jivika and Ravi ( Gurman and Sumeet daughter is also like our granddaughter ) has played role the flower girls .Kavita also extended new relationship with our closed family Mahesh and Anita

Trust -JIVIKA VISIT WITHOUT PARENTS !!

Each year Jivika comes on Ganesh festival . Our love affection has developed to such extent that Jay/Kavita sent Jivika alone ( 200 miles distance ) with my sister Shilpa and Ganjanan . Surprisingly Jivika spent 2 days with us without remembering mom/dad . Surely this kind of unique relationship is based on trust and mutual respect f

Conclusion on Jivika

As I think more on Jivika, I started realizing that we had some unknow connection from past that is responsible to develop such love and affection . Jivika’s identify us as real grandparents . As we celebrate today 3rd birthday for Jivika we pray lord Ganesh ji Sita Ramji , Krishna Radhaji along with Hanuman ji gives her blessings to remain healthy , happy in her entire life . We feel very fortunate to have Jivika in our life
