As  discussed yesterday  Ram  awarded  Hanuman proven path for success  (गुरु मंत्र )  and gave ( दीक्षा )to Hanumanji for service . Today we will focus on  Seva or  Volunteering services

Seva is a Sanskrit word that describes the act of selfless service. Its meaning is said to be embodied by the root words saha, meaning “with that,” and eva, meaning “too,” which together mean “together with.”

Seva is an act of compassion and care for others above oneself. Seva may be performed by a person in any number of ways. Performing seva may be a challenging task as it may raise personal difficulties for the people doing it. They may discover their own aversions to certain aspects of the work. However, through mindful awareness of these challenges, seva can be a powerful tool for people to learn more about themselves, their personalities and the patterns of behavior or thoughts, this way, performing  Seva can be a form of personal and spiritual development.

Seva is also  directly associated with volunteering that means to offer to do something that you do not have to do, often without having been asked to do it and  without expecting payment .Volunteering allows you to connect to your community and make it a better place. … And volunteering is a two-way street: It can benefit you and your family as much as the cause you choose to help. Dedicating your time as a volunteer helps you make new friends, expand your network, and boost your social skills.

Conclusion

Performing seva makes us humble like Hanumanji and allows us to  transform our personality by offering chance to give something back to the community or make a difference to the people around . I have also experienced that volunteering  provides an opportunity to develop new skills or build on existing experience and knowledge. It’s also observed that  ” being good ” is as much important as ” doing good then only we can achieve self-realization and  a positive impact on our mental and physical health it’s like “feel good”

Its beneficial  if we allow your actions to be led from a place of passionate intention. That way all the hard work will be worth it, you will be more committed to the cause and as a result, your impact will be that much bigger. As some of us could like to do volunteering  to increase spiritually  doing services to  temple/church and others to people in need for food drive , health services /hospitals /Trust …there is no limit as  so many areas that require helps.

COVID 19 brought new paradigm opportunity for volunteering  that we never experienced .I salute all health professions ( doctor /Nurses ), food/essential  services ,providing mask, government officials , Rotary/Lions club, organizations  and many other  who contributed  at cost of their own health . My son Vinayak MD being emergency professional along with many thousands other  all over the world made a difference at cost of their own life .This works  surely had blessings from  Hanuman ji for motivation to work as SEVAK in our fight to get victory on Coronavirus .

Tomorrow  I will focus on specific example on few organizations that helping our community
