SUMMARY LEARNING FROM RAMAYAN -PART II (Never Compromise Ideals ,Divine love is above caste creed,Leaving Comfort Zone , Humality )

Posted on

As rightly narrated by Dr Chandra ji “One can get many benefits and be always happy by establishing a proper relationships to Rama of Ramayana or to our family members, relatives or friends at home or working place in our day to day life. It depends upon the time or place of one’s actions and appropriate role playing accordingly in that situation. One can learn the role play by taking the character as a role model” Lets discuss few moral values in this post .

Develop devotion to understand five Bhakti ( Contribution Dr Chandra ji )

  1. Prabhu Bhakti : Master and Servant relationships. Like Hanuman to Rama or Jambavan to Sugriva.
  2. Vatsalya Bhakti: Between Father or Mother and Son relationship. Like Kausalya to Rama or Yashodha to Krishna.
  3. Sankhya Bhakti: Friendship. Like Between Rama and Sugriva or Arjuna to Krishna.
  4. Kanta Bhakti : between ideal relationship between husband and wife. Like Krishna to Rukmini.
  5. Ananya or Madhurya Bhakti : the best and ultimate relationship of no difference (Eikyata)..Ekameva Adviteeyam. Like Radha and Krishna.

Conclusion Our relationship with God or any human being determines our thought process to develop unique association . We all just limited by our own thoughts and action .Lets pray Lord to give us courage and knowledge to nurture positivity in life

Never Compromise  Ideals

Hanumanji  in search of  Sita ji reached  Ashok Vatika .After meeting Sita ji Hanuman ji  had a war with  Meghnath . It was very difficult for Megnath to win over Hanuman ji  hence  he  used the power of “Brahmastra” to defeat the enemy. Hanumanji could have broken the “Brahmastra” but he did not want to lessen  its importance hence he accepted the defeat. Here Lord Hanumanji teaches us that we should not compromise over our ideals.

In our daily life  we come across the situation during discussing with our  children , family  and friends and realize that what we think and believe may not be 100% accurate as everyone learn from our own experience’s or mistakes  .It’s important that first we  should construct  good moral values as strong foundation pillars  and then transform into good habit. We shouldn’t  compromise  moral value  in our life  although specific situation can be different and little twist may be needed to enhance our adaptability . It’s important to  nurture our good  thoughts  to generate  positivity for  success in our life .

1. SREE HANUMANJI WAS A DEDICATED GREAT PERFORMER , BUT HE ALWAYS FOLLOWED THE NORMS / BOUNDARIES…..

 2. HE HAD THE CAPABILITY BUT NEVER EVER OVERSTEPPED THE BOUNDARIES OF ‘NORMS’ OF CODE OF GOOD  ‘CONDUCTS’

3. HE HAD THE NOBLE HABIT OF ‘SERVICE BEFORE SELF’ BUT WITHIN BOUNDARIES OF ‘CODE OF CONDUCT’ & ‘TIME BOUND  SCHEDULE’….

Hanumanji was brilliant and intelligent  to  force  Meghnath to use  Brahmastra  (superpower that could have been used in real Ram-Ravana  battle). Also, important to note that Hanumanji  resected the power hence  it couldn’t kill him .Hence we should  be  humble and  use our knowledge to act with wise decision in our life. Also, if there is any good aspect  even in our enemy we should be open to learn

Divine love is above caste and creed

We should treat everyone with respect irrespective of position .This is illustrated by Ram ji in following examples

Nishadraj  Guha was a pure devotee of Rama. He served his service to Rama, Lakshmana, and Sita and took them to another side of River Ganga . Rama was so impressed and accepted him as a brother.  Guha is a prime example of humility, reverence and friendship.

Another example is of  Sabari, a low caste woman, was a devotee of Rama. She was eagerly waiting for Rama’s visit so she can serve him with love. Rama crossed her hut during the search of Sita, Shabri was overwhelmed to see him. She offered him fruits after tasting to make sure that the fruit is not sour. Rama also respected her as though she was his own mother and showered his grace on her.

ConclusionAfter so many years of modern  world we still  differentiate our interaction differently between poor Vs wealthy or white Vs black . We observed worldwide movement “black life matters” . So, in short  let’s try not to differentiate our behavior based on any  criteria than respect quality and humanity of person to enhance our thinking in right .

Comments Sister Kiran Gupta

A person who sales coconut has knowledge on  which coconut has more water or cream ( malai). In similar way  Shabri  also knew that  which fruit is  sweet Vs sour  . A very famous illustration “ Shabri ke ber sudama ke tandul ruchi ruchi bhog lagaya.”  Some people had question why  “Shabri was first tasting  the  fruit and the offering same to Lord “?  Basically  Shabri has so much love for Ram ji that she was  waiting for  years together to see him and when she realizes lord  has finally come to meet her she  lost  all senses and didn’t realize she was giving Ram  tasted fruit just to ensure  Ram ji shouldn’t get  sour  .

Main point to remember-“  Ram ji  just look for love  and aptitude of devotee and for their  happiness  can do anything” .Lets  treat an guest come to our home   as” Atithi Devo Bhava [Atithidevo Bhava] (Sanskrit: अतिथिदेवो भव; English: ‘The guest is equivalent to God’ or ‘Be one for whom the guest is God’) is a Sanskrit verse, taken from an ancient Hindu scripture which became part of the “code of conduct” for Hindu society.

Leaving Comfort Zone for Career Development or Education or any assigned work

If we want to  uplift our career and grow in life then it’s essential not to look  for  our  comfort zones. Hanuman ji was the son of the king (Kesari). Still, he began to work as the secretary  for  Sugreev. On this post, he performed various big roles easily and occupied a place in Lord Ram’s heart.

So, we should become such employee who is an asset to his boss and mutual beneficial association . This approach is   also applicable for students that they shouldn’t compromise to work hard to build knowledge as there is no alternative to invest time to gain expertise

Due to  lack of life management  skills our  potential remain untapped to come over challenging situation. The character of Hanumanji is full of courage, knowledge and strength.   Devotion to our task  enhances our learning  to build  expertise to remain  successful.

DL commentsHanumanji had a dedicated moto : “Service before self  & to get results as needed but on  schedule to meet the requirements”. Ram ji  act  as source of inspiration to Hanuman ji.

 Humility

Always open your heart  in any situation as it’s important to keep  your smile to remain happy. Surely its critical to develop  expertise required to do our  assignment at same time  we should maintain our dignity but remain humble for success in life .Lets learn this example from Hanumanji when crossing sea, Gods had sent Sursa to test Hanumanji. Sursa tried to obstruct the way of Hanumanji by stretching herself. Hanumanji too stretched himself into an enormous form. After that Hanumanji transformed himself into his original form.

This delighted Sursa and develop respect for Hanumanji and she gave him blessing for find Sitaji. Therefore, only having competence does not lead to victory. Humbleness and politeness are equally important. This also means that be careful not to convert our competency (power/knowledge )into proud ( “I– Factor “ I am  making it happen ) as it will stop our progress. Surely maintaining  self-respect is desirable but building humbleness  is key  for success in personal and professional life .

DLSonee “.  Hanumanji was “vidyaban guni ati chatur, ram kaaj karibeko atur”  _ when he was ‘blocked’ by ‘sursha’ , hanuman handled matter deftly,  … to tide over the matter intelligently.”

Sister Kiran GuptaGod wanted to do test Hanumanji abilities  to find Sita ji .This is explained in Sundrkand  “jat pawansut devan dekha jana kou ati buddhi vishesha. buddhimani taste karne ke liye  they sent sarpo ki  mata sursa.badi se badi samsya ka samadhan  sukshm rup se buddhiman vykti hi  kar sakta hai.In our life  we should eliminate   bad habit and adopt  good qualities.
